CITB ‘Site Safety Plus’ courses

HSH offer places on any of this suite of safety courses, recognised throughout the construction industry as the premier qualification for construction workers in the UK.

From the 1 day Health and Safety Awareness, to courses for supervisors, managers and directors, there is something for everyone. These courses are delivered in various locations so please contact us for prices and availability. If required, we can arrange to deliver the training at your own workplace.

Site Operatives must pass the 1 Day Health and Safety Awareness course in order to take their C-Skills Touch Screen Test and apply for their Trade Specific CSCS Card.

All those in management, supervisory or operative positions should be trained to high standards.  Directors will understand the importance of their role in cultivating a positive health and safety culture throughout their organisation.

CITB HEALTH AND SAFETY AWARENESS (1 DAY)

A 1-day awareness course for those entering the construction industry for the first time or for those who are seeking to gain their CSCS Card. Subjects include the Law, Fire, Work at Height and COSHH.

Assessment is a 25 question multi choice test at the end of the course, the pass mark is 18 out of 25 or 80%. There are 3 Safety Critical questions which must be answered correctly.

SSSTS – SITE SUPERVISORS COURSE (2 DAYS)

A 2-day course for those becoming Site Supervisors for the first time or for Site Supervisors who may have allowed their previous qualification to expire. Delegates must attend all of the course.  This is an interactive course covering the Law, Fire, Work at Height, COSHH, PUWER and LOLER, Excavations, Confined Spaces etc.

Assessment: Candidates must achieve an acceptable rating from their tutor. 72% must be achieved in the one assessed exercise and 80% (24/30) in the final multiple choice exam which includes 4 safety critical questions which must be answered correctly.

SMSTS – Site Manager initial course SMSTS (5 days)

A 5-day course for those becoming Site Managers for the first time or for Site Managers who may have allowed their previous qualification to expire.

An interactive course covering the Law, Fire, Work at Height, COSHH, PUWER and LOLER, Excavations, Confined Spaces etc.,

The course-pack includes CITB publication coursebook, a work book and relevant exercises, some case studies and a construction site safety documentation pack.

Assessment: Candidates must achieve an acceptable rating from their tutor. 72% must be achieved in four separate assessed exercises and 80% (28/35) in the final 22 question multiple-choice exam which includes 5 Safety Critical questions which must be answered correctly and some short, written questions.
