Although a real life situation can never be totally simulated, personnel who are familiar with fire theory and practiced in procedure will be an asset to the safety of staff, customers and visitors in the event of a fire or other emergency evacuation situation.
This course also presents an opportunity for the discussion and review of current in-house procedures.
Fire Safety Awareness
Designed for employees to develop their basic fire safety awareness in order to assist the employer by observing basic fire safety in the workplace and reminding them of their duties relating to emergency procedures.
Awarding Body
Unaccredited - hsh certificate of attendance. If formal certification is required please enquire about the one day CIEH Level 2 Award in Fire Safety Principles.
Guided Learning Hours 3
A half day course that promotes basic fire safety awareness for any member of staff. It is also suitable as a refresher course for staff.
The course covers:
- The common causes of fire
- The fire triangle
- Fire prevention
- Overview of fire legislation & responsibilities
- Fire classifications/types
- The behaviour of fire and smoke
- Safety features within buildings
- How people react in fire situations
- Your role in the event of a fire
- Emergency evacuation procedures & role call

No formal assessment. In-house HSH attendance certification provided
