The HSE First Aid at Work course is run over 3 days and equips the first-aider to apply first aid to a range of specific injuries and also enables the candidate to deal with sudden illness in the workplace.
The course address:
- Airway management
- Burns and scalds management
- Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation
- Eye injuries
- Fractures - injuries to muscles and joints
- Management of unconscious patient/fits and convulsions
- Medical emergencies including child and infant
- Poisons
- Shock and fainting
- Wounds and bleeding
- Preparation for course assessment
The course will include practical demostration and individual participation.
Upon successful completion of the course, candidates will be awarded the HSE approved First Aid at Work Certificate, valid for three years
