The HSE Emergency First Aid at Work course is run over one day and is designed for the first-aider in a low hazard workplace.
The course addresses:
- Provision of First Aid for minor injuries including; small cuts, grazes, bruises, minor burns & scalds & small splinters
- Cross infection
- Recoring incidents
- Acting promptly and effectively in an emergency
- The unconscious casualty and one who is in seizure
- The non-breathing casualty
- The choking casualty
- A casualty in shock
The course will include practical demonstration and individual participation
Upon successful completion of the course, candidates will be awarded a certificate of achievement, valid for three years.
